Zodiac Guide: Selection and Builds
Quick Summary
Choose and equip Revolution Idle Zodiacs for your current Unity stage. Review build priorities, bonuses and the goal of each setup.
1. Introduction to Zodiacs
Zodiacs are a core progression system in Revolution Idle, unlocked after your first Unity reset. Each Zodiac grants unique stat bonuses and abilities, fundamentally enhancing EP, DP, and other resource gains as you push further into late-game content.
- Unlocking Zodiacs: Unity becomes available at
1.08e2466 EP. After Uniting, you choose from four Zodiac options. The first choice includes a guaranteed Lv3 Rare Aries; subsequent choices are randomized. - Quality, Level and Rarity: These are separate properties affecting bonus strength. Level grows through Zodiac Exp.; Quality becomes especially important later. Rarity also determines the number of bonuses:
| Rarity range | Number of bonuses |
|---|---|
| Garbage--Epic | 2 |
| Legendary--Godly | 3 |
| Divine--Immortal+ | 4 |
A Rare Lv3 Zodiac has two bonuses, not three or four. Higher rarity alone does not establish the strongest early build; inspect the actual bonuses, level and quality.
2. Choosing Your First Zodiac
On your first Unity, the guaranteed Lv3 Rare Aries option has Mult Gain and Common Exponent bonuses. The Early Unity guide recommends choosing it to help rebuild progression. This guarantee applies to the first Unity option, not every future choice, and the recommendation is not a measured universal optimum.
- Why Aries?
- Mult Gain supports score growth.
- Common Exponent strengthens progression through an exponent bonus.
- The recommendation comes from the Early Unity guide; this page does not attribute an unverified quotation or unanimous consensus to Reddit or Steam.
Tip: Initially you have the Sun slot. Place your selected Zodiac there to activate its bonuses and unlock Mercury. A Zodiac merely held in inventory does not provide its equipped effects.
3. Planet Slots & Seasonal Bonuses
Each Planet holds one Zodiac. The source bonus table lists Sun, Mercury, Venus, Moon, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, Chiron and Fortune Pars. These names describe the full system, not the slots available immediately after your first Unity. Moon is the listed slot; Earth is a Zodiac element, not its replacement.
Seasonal Effects
Each Zodiac has its own season attribute. Its Planet bonus depends on that season and the Planet where it is equipped; the source does not describe a clock-based game season you should wait to rotate. For the Sun, the source records:
| Zodiac season on Sun | Planet bonus |
|---|---|
| Spring | Zodiac Quality ×1.5 |
| Summer | Luck ×1.15 |
| Autumn | Unity Rewards ^1.1 |
| Winter | Eternity Rewards ^1.2 |
Check the equipped Zodiac's season and the actual Planet bonus together. A multiplier such as ×1.5 and an exponent such as ^1.1 are different operations. The Sun table is not a bonus table for every Planet; verify other slots in the current interface and the linked Zodiacs reference.
4. Zodiac Builds by Game Phase
4.1 Early Unity
- First choice and first slot: Start with the guide's guaranteed first Rare Lv3 Aries recommendation and equip it on Sun.
- Compare actual effects: Aries is Fire/Spring. Leo is Fire/Summer, with Lap Speed as its first listed bonus; Slowdown Power is listed for Sagittarius. Do not assign a bonus solely because two signs share an element.
- Progression goal: Compare the bonuses you actually rolled against the next Unity requirement. The guide's pictured loadouts have not been read into a complete slot-by-slot configuration here, so this page does not invent a universal Full Fire build.
4.2 Attacks Phase
Attacks require their own unlocks and progression checks. A configuration useful for reaching the next Unity is not automatically best for attacking, Quality or Luck. Choose a comparison goal before moving Zodiacs.
- Read the sign-specific effects: Libra lists DP Gain, EP Gain, Supernova requirement and Lab Mult Power. Aquarius lists DP Gain, Free Lab Levels, Supernova requirement and Lab Mult Power. These are the sign's possible bonuses; rarity determines how many are present on your Zodiac.
- Avoid unsupported complete builds: This page has no verified source for a fixed count of Aquarius, Libra and Aries being optimal for all Attacks stages. It does not present a top-player ranking or an unverified Steam quotation as proof.
4.3 Post-Unity Farming
The Early Unity guide emphasizes Water/Quality after unlocking eight Planet slots. Treat that as a stage-dependent recommendation, not an instruction to fill every early slot with Pisces.
- Pisces properties: Pisces is Water/Spring. Its possible bonuses include Luck and Zodiac Quality, followed by Achievement 29 Reward and Game Speed; your Zodiac only supplies its unlocked bonuses.
- Compare at a fixed goal: Record the current slots, actual bonus rolls, Quality and Level before considering a replacement. Inspect the Planet's season effect as well.
- Keep progression conditions: A Quality/Luck farming setup can trade away bonuses needed for the next Unity or another goal. No all-Pisces layout, guaranteed rarity drop rate or universal farming optimum is established here.
5. Source Scope & Build Comparisons
The linked Zodiacs and Unity pages supply mechanisms; the Early Unity guide supplies stage recommendations. These evidence types are different from an independent playtest or a measured leaderboard comparison.
For a useful comparison, record the same game version, goal, available Planet slots and actual Zodiac bonuses. Change one placement only when you understand its reset prompt. Compare the relevant visible result at the same progression checkpoint, rather than claiming a faster run from unmatched saves.
No unsupported Reddit/Steam quote, fixed complete build or universal time-to-Unity promise is used. Image-based loadouts require a separate reading of their signs and slots before they can be transcribed as instructions.
6. Automation & Zodiac Loadouts
Treat changing a loadout as a game operation with a reset cost, not as a save editor or a free rearrangement:
- Unity documents swapping Zodiacs as an example of a Soft Unity Reset. Check the current confirmation and record your configuration before switching; do not invent which unrelated resources persist.
- The Unity source distinguishes that soft reset from a normal Unity: a normal Unity resets Attack Level to 0 and grants the displayed Gold, while a Soft Unity Reset does not reset Attack Level.
- Check the stage automation guide after Unity. This page makes no claim about widespread community macro use, a timed season rotation or automatic Planet Shop purchases available to every save.
7. Tips & Advanced Strategies
- Rerolling: The Zodiacs source records 200 Souls for a reroll, with +50 per further reroll. Check the displayed cost before spending; a reroll does not guarantee Pisces, higher rarity or better bonuses.
- Planet Shop: Unity documents its unlock after Easy Trial 6. Its systems use Astrodust and include Game Speed, Luck, Quality and Zodiac Exp. Factor purchases, plus Merging, Enhancing, Redistribution and Sacrificing. Check your unlocks and current costs before treating a purchase as available.
- Separate operations: A farming layout, a Zodiac swap, a reroll and Sacrificing are different operations. Filling slots with Pisces is not itself the Sacrificing mechanic.
- Dilation context: Use the Dilation/DTP guide for tree budgets and reset conditions; a Zodiac's DTP-related bonus does not replace those checks.
8. Conclusion
- Choose the guaranteed Rare Lv3 Aries option on the first Unity according to the Early Unity guide; later options are randomized.
- Equip the Zodiac on an unlocked Planet, then inspect the actual active bonuses.
- Match the comparison to your goal and available slots; the eight-slot Water/Quality recommendation is conditional.
- Check the Zodiac's season attribute and the Planet effect, rather than waiting for an invented seasonal timer.
- Read the reset confirmation before changing a loadout, and review automation after Unity.
Use the Wiki hub to select the next topic for your progression stage. These checks support informed choices; this site has not independently measured a universal best build or guaranteed clear time.
9. Failure Checks & Sources
| Situation | Check and stopping condition |
|---|---|
| Owned Zodiac has no effect | Confirm it is equipped on an unlocked Planet; inventory alone does not activate effects |
| Rare Lv3 has only two bonuses | This matches Garbage--Epic; Level 3 does not grant the Legendary third bonus |
| Sun bonus differs from a copied table | Check that Zodiac's season and the current slot; do not apply another Planet's table |
| A swap opens a reset prompt | Record the current layout and inspect the confirmation before proceeding; do not assume a free move |
| An early all-Pisces setup loses progression | Recheck the eight-slot recommendation and your current goal; do not claim universal superiority |
Mechanics were checked against Zodiacs and Unity, with stage recommendations from Guide:Early Unity, using the saved source readings from 2026-10-14. The exact current game build, pictured complete loadouts, attack comparisons and reroll outcomes have not been independently playtested. If your interface differs, verify its build and confirmation before applying a reset or spending Souls/Astrodust.
