Revolution Idle Dilation and Dilation Tree Guide
Dilation earns Dilation Points (DP). The Dilation Tree allocates Dilation Tree Points (DTP). They have different unlocks, spending decisions and reset consequences. Check which tab you are trying to use before following a build.
Use the animal guide for the 81-animal milestone and the Laboratory guide to distinguish research production from RP allocation.
Dilation: unlock, enter and earn DP
The Dilation reference, checked on 2026-10-13, identifies the unlock as owning all 81 animals. Entering Dilation begins a new Eternity with penalties. Exiting also begins a new Eternity; the best Score reached in Dilation determines DP income.
Expect the first run to feel slower than an ordinary Eternity. The game applies penalties to several systems, so compare Dilation runs with other Dilation runs, rather than treating normal-run speed as an attainable baseline. Before entering, record your Lab allocation and automation conditions. Check whether an automatic reset would interrupt the Score target you intend to reach.
A practical first-run loop is:
- Enter Dilation only when you are ready for the Eternity reset.
- Observe which resource is limiting Score growth.
- Improve the attainable Dilation Score, then inspect DP income.
- Check the prices and effects of the next available Dilation upgrades.
- Repeat with one deliberate change and compare the same target.
There are nine Dilation upgrades. Their next-level prices increase as you buy levels. This guide therefore uses the price shown in your game rather than a fixed table of supposed universal prices. It does not substitute unknown prices with placeholders.
The Dilation stage walkthrough recommends leaving Auto Infinity, Auto Eternity and IP Adjuster disabled for normal Dilation progression. Eternity farming is a separate activity; use the IP Adjuster guide to check its stage-specific conditions.
Dilation Tree: a separate unlock and currency
The Dilation Tree reference lists all 50 Eternity Challenge completions of this stage as the tree unlock. This is the documented pre-Unity stage, not a claim about the total challenges in every future version. The first DTP requires 1e27 DP. DTP buys levels in the tree; it is not the same currency as DP spent on Dilation upgrades.
The tree begins at CENTER-1 and splits into TOP, MIDDLE and BOTTOM branches. Each branch has four upgrades. A single level in the preceding upgrade opens the next one; you do not need to maximize every earlier node merely to reach a later node. Each level costs one DTP, each node has five levels, and fully leveling all 13 nodes takes 65 DTP.
For a first point, CENTER-1 is the entry. For later points, inspect the branch effects and choose the branch supporting the target you are currently pushing. An allocation suitable for DP income is not automatically suitable for an achievement. Do not describe a build as “best” without naming the target and available DTP.
Early DTP route with a named point budget
The Dilation Tree walkthrough, checked on 2026-10-13, gives these early DP-oriented allocations. Use each only at its stated DTP budget and after checking the walkthrough's corresponding Supernova, Eternity, AP and Dilation-upgrade requirements.
| Available DTP | Loadout | Immediate target |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | C1;T0,0,0,0;M0,0,0,0;B0,0,0,0 | Improve upgrades toward the second point |
| 2 | C1;T0,0,0,0;M1,0,0,0;B0,0,0,0 | Improve upgrades toward the third point |
| 3 | C1;T1,1,0,0;M0,0,0,0;B0,0,0,0 | DP-oriented run toward the fourth point |
| 4 | C1;T1,1,1,0;M0,0,0,0;B0,0,0,0 | Improve upgrades toward the fifth point |
Do not skip a supporting AP or Supernova run simply because a later loadout is available. The configuration is one part of the route, and this page does not promise the walkthrough's estimated completion times for your save.
Read and save a tree build
Tree loadouts use this format:
Cx;Tx,x,x,x;Mx,x,x,x;Bx,x,x,x
C means Center; T, M and B identify the branches. Each number is a level, written in branch order. Count the levels before importing a shared build and compare their sum with your available DTP. Also check that each later node has the required preceding allocation.
Switching a loadout has the respec consequences. Treat the string as a Dilation Tree loadout, not as a whole-game save export. A tree build cannot back up your account or preserve progress after an unrelated save problem.
Check the format, integer levels from 0 to 5, total DTP budget and preceding nodes before applying a loadout. The walkthrough says an invalid format or a build exceeding available DTP will not work. Recheck the string and requirements; do not clear your save to repair a rejected tree import. Use the backup guide to distinguish tree codes from whole-game save handling.
Respec costs and a progression checkpoint
Tree respec resets the current Eternity, DP and maximum Dilation Score. The walkthrough also records a 5% reduction to current DU1 through DU3 levels when respeccing; check the change shown in your build and plan the repurchase. Record the current build and the target before switching. If you are close to an achievement or a new Score record, consider finishing that run first.
The reference highlights achievements 29 and 140 around the 13-DTP stage, because their bonus strengthens the final nodes of the three branches. If progress stalls around that boundary, check those achievements before simply waiting for another point. For target-specific later allocations, use the current Dilation Tree walkthrough and compare its point budget and requirements with your version.
This guide supplies the mechanics and a decision process, rather than an unverified numbered fastest path. Before returning to ordinary farming, review automation and restore a Lab build matching your goal.
Troubleshooting and source limits
| Symptom | Check before changing the build |
|---|---|
| Dilation tab is unavailable | All 81 animals and the active milestone |
| Tree remains locked or the first point is unavailable | The stage’s 50 EC completions and first-point cost of 1e27 DP are separate checks |
| Loadout import fails | Format, 0--5 integer levels, available DTP and preceding nodes |
| DP and maximum Score disappear after a switch | Respec consequences and the recorded DU1--DU3 reduction, rather than assuming a save fault |
| Progress slows near 13 DTP | Achievements 29 and 140 plus the current route’s supporting requirements |
